Volunteer Opportunities

The Plant Sangha needs not only gardeners, but practitioners with other skills as well. If you want to cultivate your practice, there are many ways to be involved. This section lists the types of volunteer opportunities needed. No matter what your age or expertise, there is a place for you.

Skills we need

We are seeking volunteers who would like to help the Deer Park Plant Sangha maintain and nourish the plants and natural habitat of Deer Park.  We are seeking people with the skills below, but even if you don't have special knowledge, we would love your help.  We learn a lot by working together.  We generally meet the last Saturday of the month all year.

  • Irrigation planning , programming, and maintenance.
  • Educational materials developer, writer, teacher for our educational seminars for visitors and residents about the natural environment at Deer Park.
  • Gardeners for growing and maintaining California native plants.
  • Knowledge about the local Native Peoples of our land and region.
  • Gardners for vegetable, fruit, orchard gardening.
  • Rainwater harvester, erosion prevention
  • Editor
  • Photographer
